GE Appliances plans to invest over $3 billion in its US operations, workforce, and communities over the next five years, creating approximately 1,000 new jobs. The company will expand its US-made air conditioning and water heating portfolio, increase output across all product lines, and modernize its 11 US manufacturing plants. The investment will focus on plants in Kentucky, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, and South Carolina, with the first phase beginning immediately. This investment is the second-largest in the company’s history and demonstrates its commitment to US manufacturing. GE Appliances has already added over 4,000 US jobs since 2016 and will continue to prioritize its employees in its growth strategy. The company is also partnering with educational institutions to develop the next generation of manufacturing leaders and is focused on meeting urgent community needs through initiatives like disaster response and clean water services.
