AgriCarm is a new farming app that aims to democratize agricultural expertise by providing farmers with precision agriculture tools. The app, founded by agronomist Francisco Velasquez, will launch in 2025 and offers a free basic version for small and medium-sized farms. The app’s plant counting feature uses advanced image recognition to check plant density and evenness during early growth, helping farmers identify low germination areas and make data-driven decisions. Additionally, the app provides GPS features and soil data mapping, allowing farmers to make digital field maps, fine-tune input, and reduce waste and environmental harm. The app also offers in-app learning modules and online courses led by industry experts, covering topics such as soil analysis, crop monitoring, and nutrient management. AgriCarm’s goal is to provide every farmer, regardless of farm size, with the tools and knowledge needed to thrive in the agriculture industry. Velasquez believes that “every farmer, no matter their operation’s size, should use precision agriculture,” and AgriCarm is working to make that a reality.
