The event, organized by ABS Greentech, attracted 26 countries and featured delegates and speakers from various sectors. Industry players presented solutions for better practices among Malaysian farmers, including DNA and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) technology, which are innovative solutions for controlling crop pests without relying on harmful chemicals.
The event also included the signing of memoranda of understanding (MOUs) between local and global companies to benefit local businesses and facilitate technology exchange. These collaborations aim to enhance food security, sustainable use of energy, and green technology in the region. The organizers plan to roll out regional exhibitions across Malaysia, including in Sabah, Sarawak, and both the northern and southern regions.
The Malaysian Technology Development Corp (MTDC) plays a crucial role in advancing the nation’s agricultural sector by supporting businesses to optimize productivity, enhance sustainability, and strengthen export potential.
