Innoterra, a Swiss-Indian agri-tech platform, has acquired Fasal’s fresh produce distribution business, expanding its presence in Bengaluru and Chandigarh. The acquisition will double Innoterra’s distribution routes and drive a 30-35% increase in revenue. The deal gives Innoterra access to Fasal’s 85,000-acre farmer network, allowing it to tap into new markets and increase fruit distribution by up to 80%. Innoterra plans to extend its Farmlink platform to non-perishable goods like rice and spices. Fasal, on the other hand, will focus on developing its precision agriculture technologies and expanding its farmer support initiatives. The acquisition cost was not disclosed. The acquisition is expected to increase operational efficiency and financial sustainability for Innoterra. According to Avinash Kasinathan, Innoterra’s Managing Director, the company will continue to pursue strategic acquisitions to scale its business.
