The article discusses the upcoming second auction for AgriPV (agrivoltaic) projects in Italy under the national recovery and resilience plan (PNRR). The first auction was undersubscribed due to higher-than-expected costs, leading to a second round of bidding. This time, the auction is expected to be more successful, as input costs for projects have decreased, making more projects eligible for funding. The second auction aims to allocate more than 1GW of capacity, with a total of 643 bids received for the first auction. The average price for the previous tender was €88.92/MWh for projects under 1MW and €79.86/MWh for larger projects. The tenders are financed through Italy’s PNRR, with funding of €1.7 billion.
