Sineng Electric successfully designed and implemented a customized energy storage solution for a 75MW/300MWh vanadium redox flow battery (VRFB) project in Xinjiang, China. The project has been operating reliably since its commissioning, enhancing grid stability and supporting the deployment of renewable energy in challenging conditions. The VRFB technology used is known for its scalability, longevity, and safety, and Sineng Electric’s customized 1375kW central Power Conversion System (PCS) was designed to operate across a wide DC voltage range, ensuring high efficiency, stability, and reliability despite harsh weather conditions. The energy storage power station provides four-hour duration, used for peak shaving and frequency regulation, making it an essential component in mitigating demand spikes and ensuring a continuous power supply. The project showcases Sineng Electric’s adaptability and resilience across various battery technologies, supporting the energy transition and large-scale decarbonization efforts.
