Stryten Energy and Storion Energy, a joint venture with Largo Clean Energy, will be showcasing their domestic Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Vanadium Electrolyte for Vanadium Redox Flow Batteries at the Energy Storage Summit USA from March 26-27. The event will highlight the importance of manufacturing BESS domestically to meet the growing demand for energy in the US. The companies will emphasize the need for utility-scale and small-scale BESS solutions to ensure energy security and resiliency.
Stryten Energy’s Vice President, Scott Childers, states that as power demand increases, it is crucial to integrate BESS into electric grids, both at the utility scale and for smaller applications like microgrids. The companies will explore the benefits of domestic manufacturing of BESS and its components, including vanadium electrolyte, to create a future of cleaner, abundant energy and ensured energy security.
Storion Energy will also present a session on “Vanadium Electrolyte Leasing to Help Achieve DOE’s Long-Duration Storage Shot LCOS Goal” to discuss the leasing model for vanadium electrolyte production, which can help accelerate the adoption of vanadium redox flow batteries. The model creates a win-win proposition for consumers and suppliers, allowing for cost-effective domestic supply chain management.
