FreshMiners, a Dutch company, is launching a service that provides extra-accurate GPS technology for drone pilots, farmers, and others. The technology, known as RTK corrections, allows users to correct their GPS positions down to the centimeter. This is achieved through a global network of over 19,000 base stations in 140 countries, making it the largest RTK network in the world. The service is essential for applications such as precision agriculture, land surveying, and drone navigation. The demand for accurate positioning is growing rapidly, with 60% of arable farmers in the Netherlands already using precision technologies. The market for precision agriculture is expected to reach €3 billion in 2025, with annual growth of over 10% until 2030. A subscription to the service gives users access to the GEODNET network, providing them with easy and direct access to high-precision GPS correction signals. The company aims to make high-precision GPS available to a wide audience, including farmers, drone pilots, and others who require accurate positioning for their work.
World’s first extensive GPS network specifically designed for drone and agricultural use has been launched.
